Marc Cuban Wanting To Amnesty Kobe?

Leave it up to Dallas Maverick's owner, Mark Cuban, to provide his two cents on what the 16-Time World Champion's Los Angeles Lakers should do with their superstar Kobe Bryant.  I mean don't get me wrong Cuban just gutted his own team last season so he has some idea of what to do.  Maybe its his way of reaching out to the Buss Family during trying times.

Let's play devil's advocate:

Kobe is due a mere $30 million next season which puts the Lakers over the luxury tax threshold by $7 million.  That doesn't even include the hopeful signing of the summer's biggest free agent, Dwight Howard.  Howard will command at least $20 million a season on his upcoming deal which even creates more of chaos for the Lakers.  Once you pass $5 million over the luxury tax, it increases to $1.75 for every dollar over. After that, every $5 million over goes from $2.50 to $3.25 to $3.75 and increases $.50 for every $5 million after that.  But we are talking about Kobe!  Kobe Bryant is the Mr. Laker, he is the draw, the 5-Time NBA champion that is relied upon the success of the franchise.  His legacy belongs in a purple and gold uniform.

(Watch)It's Grooming Time For The Mavericks

dirk1
Finally! Cut that $#*t off! After 4 months of climbing up a steep hill, the Dallas Mavericks finally got to cut their miserable, shaggy looking beards off. Some of the Maverick players, who can grow facial hair, made a pact to grow their beards and wouldn't shave it off until they reach a .500 record. Dallas Mavericks at the time of the pact were as much as 10 games below .500 so you can understand why they raced back to the locker room after defeating the New Orleans Hornets 107-89. The Mavericks were not playing for the post-season for the first time in eleven years; but at least they showed some pride continuing to fight and reaching a small goal of a .500 record.
"It's been too long," the clean-shaven Nowitzki said. "My wife stopped kissing me somewhere in February. It feels good to shave again."
Not only did the Mavericks win today but Dirk Nowitzki also scored his 25,000 career point.

(Watch)Dirk Nowitzki Joins The 25,000 Club

dirk5
Dirk Nowitzki not only was able to shave off his "Shaggy" beard tonight; but he also reached a personal milestone becoming the 17th player in NBA history to score 25,000 career points. Nowitzki reached the 25,000-point mark with a midrange jumper over Hornets' center Robin Lopez in the second quarter. Dirk is coming off knee surgery this year and missed the first 29 games of the season. That is one of the reasons why the Dallas Mavericks will missed the playoffs for the first time in eleven seasons. Dirk finally has his legs back and looks to be his old self again. He scored 19 points tonight in a Maverick victory over the New Orleans Hornets and it looks as if Dirk has plenty of basketball left. As of right now he sits number 17 on the all-time NBA scoring list and its very possible that he will pass Hall of Fame players such as Jerry West, KG(who is still active), Reggie Miller, Alex English, and possibly John Havlicek if he stays healthy next season placing him right at 11th all-time. In the mean time congratulations to Mr. Nowitzki on your milestone. The next 5 victims in front of Dirk Nowitzki
12. John Havlicek* 26395
13. Alex English* 25613
14. Reggie Miller* 25279
15. Kevin Garnett 25274
16. Jerry West* 25192

Kobe Bryant’s Facebook Rant

kobeb2
Soon as Kobe hit the floor, grabbing his foot in the fourth quarter of last night's game, he immediately knew that his Achilles tendon was possibly ruptured. The Black Mamba has been the most durable player in the NBA, playing through multiple injuries. It was vintage Kobe to limp back onto the court to shoot his free throws in pain before walking lamely into the locker room under his own power. He knew this time it wasn't going to be a quick fix. The hardest working man in the NBA for the first time looked devastated, sad, and in an interview after the game looked teary eyed. Hours have past and while most of the world was sleeping, Kobe Bryant goes on a rant, figuring out his next game plan. He opened up to the world on his Facebook about his situation.
This is such BS! All the training and sacrifice just flew out the window with one step that I've done millions of times! The frustration is unbearable. The anger is rage. Why the hell did this happen ?!? Makes no damn sense. Now I'm supposed to come back from this and be the same player Or better at 35?!? How in the world am I supposed to do that?? I have NO CLUE. Do I have the consistent will to... overcome this thing? Maybe I should break out the rocking chair and reminisce on the career that was. Maybe this is how my book ends. Maybe Father Time has defeated me...Then again maybe not! It's 3:30am, my foot feels like dead weight, my head is spinning from the pain meds and I'm wide awake. Forgive my Venting but what's the purpose of social media if I won't bring it to you Real No Image?? Feels good to vent, let it out. To feel as if THIS is the WORST thing EVER! Because After ALL the venting, a real perspective sets in. There are far greater issues/challenges in the world then a torn achilles. Stop feeling sorry for yourself, find the silver lining and get to work with the same belief, same drive and same conviction as ever. One day, the beginning of a new career journey will commence. Today is NOT that day. "If you see me in a fight with a bear, prey for the bear". Ive always loved that quote. Thats "mamba mentality" we don't quit, we don't cower, we don't run. We endure and conquer. I know it's a long post but I'm Facebook Venting LOL. Maybe now I can actually get some sleep and be excited for surgery tomorrow. First step of a new challenge. Guess I will be Coach Vino the rest of this season. I have faith in my teammates. They will come thru. Thank you for all your prayers and support.
The Achilles injury is a long process to come back from and if anyone can beat the odds on a comeback from this injury it's the Black Mamba. Father time is undefeated; but we all know Kobe loves to prove us wrong.

Kobe Bryant suffers probable torn left Achilles

kobeb
(Photo: Richard Mackson, USA TODAY Sports)

There is trouble in Tinseltown as preliminary reports show that Kobe Bryant has torn his left Achilles tendon Friday night late in the fourth quarter against the Golden State Warriors. The Lakers did rally without Kobe to win 118-116 without their legendary star to keep hold of the 8th seed in the Western Conference. L.A maintains a one game lead over Utah Jazz with two the play; but can the Lakers win the remaining two games to make the playoffs and without Kobe, and if they do does it really matter now. The Black Mamba is gone, Mamba never misses games. Take a look: Kobe finished the night 34pts 5rbs 4ast. Could this be the demise of Kobe Bean Bryant? The Achilles is one of the toughest injuries ever to come back from. If it is an Achilles injury it will take at least a year. MRI is plan for tomorrow. Prayer is sent to you Mr. Bryant.

Don Mattingly Sounds Off "Stupid" Move By Carlos Quinten

quinten greinke
Don Mattingly is furious with the "idiot" Carlos Quinten as he said why would anybody try to hit someone in a one run game with the count full. He also stated that Quinten is known for diving into pitches. Do what ball players do and take your base. If Carlos would have done that then this issue would have been avoidable. He said Carlos caused the whole thing and Quinten shouldn't be able to play until Greinke is back from injury. If I were Mattingly, I would be irate as well as one of my aces who makes $590,000 a start is now out with a broken left collarbone. Take a look at the clip.
Carlos said that Greinke said something to him and he rushed the mound both leading with their shoulders several times which led to Greinke's injury. Quinten has no remorse for the unfortunate injury to Zach Greinke, as he also said that the whole incident could have been avoided. The two have history and it was the final straw. Carlos Quinten's response
If Carlos Quinten is asking for a suspension and a hefty fine, he may get his wish, wow! Tell us how you really feel, no contrition what-so-ever, and it's only the second week of the season. I know it's upsetting what happen to Zach Greinke and I wish him a speedy recovery; but MLB needed this, guess what the subject of conversation will be in the next couple of days.

Greinke Beans Quentin With Pitch And Breaks Collarbone In A Brawl

What's the old saying, "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." Well I be damn Zach Greinke, what about a third time. What was Carlos Quinten to do about getting beaned by a Greinke pitch for the third time in his career. Well it didn't take long! Take a look at the video to see how it started.

Who needs a Dodgers/Giants rivalry when there is plenty of blood to go around in San Diego. MMA fighting at its best! Well sort of, Grienke didn't do much after he threw his glove down but at least it was entertaining. Quentin is the only batter Greinke has ever hit 3 times, go figure.  After the brawl, Quinten was ejected, Greinke was removed and later diagnosed with a broken left collarbone.
