MLB FAN CAVE
All it took was one swing of the bat from Kansas City Royals third baseman, Mike Moustakas and the heavy favorite Los Angeles Angels find themselves trailing one game to none in the best of five. Kansas City Royals came into the playoffs dead last in home runs with only 95 for the season. Well number 96 came just in time as Moustakas hits the game winner off Angels relief pitcher, Fernando Salas. Moustakas is only slugging .361 for the year which is way below league average with 15 home runs in the regular season. Take a look at Moustakas go-ahead home run in the 11th inning (via gifdsports)
Its been 29 years since the Royals have seen any parts of the playoffs and they find themselves winning their first two playoff games. Call it a cinderella story if you want to; but the Angles are finding out that Kansas City will be a difficult team to beat.
