Congratulation to Tiger Woods dominating the Bridgestone Invitational for a the eighth time and winning his 79th career PGA event. Woods had this event won on Friday when shot a 9 under par (61). Woods took it easy on the final day shooting an even par and still winning by a commanding seven shots. The highlight for the viewers had to be at the end of the round when Tiger was walking into the clubhouse. He had a visitor requesting his attention. Take a look:
Not since the days of Earl Woods (Tiger's dad) have we seen an emotional moment after a victory. The golf world knows all about the marital issues Woods and ex-wife Elin Nordegren have gone through over the years. It's not Phil Mickelson and his gang by any means; but it was cool to see Tiger carrying his offspring into the winner's circle!

WAKE UP TOM LASORDA!

tommy-lasorda-

Tom Lasorda was napping during the LA/Chicago game Sunday afternoon. Well at least he isn't managing anymore. Can you blame him its the middle of the afternoon! If Mr. Lasorda had his way the game would have started first thing in the morning after. Take a look:

Watch Adam Dunn swing a big stick

Adam Dunn is one individual who never cheats himself swinging a big stick. The left-handed slugger can launch a baseball with the best of them. Dunn will never be known for his clutch hitting but he will provide a Reggie Jackson-like swing and when he connects "Lord Have Mercy!" Today was one of those days where everything felt right and the former Texas Longhorn backup quarterback connected and got a hold of one. Take a look: courtesy of mlb.com

It was a kind gesture by centerfielder Austin Jackson to make an attempt to run after the ball; but in all honesty all he had to do was look up and over.
I say in about two more seasons, Major League Baseball will have a reincarnation of Jim Thome as Adam Dunn will be approaching 500 home runs. He is sitting a 432 now at the age of 33.

Matt Garza rants on twitter after getting bunted on

Message to the American League. Matt Garza DOES NOT LIKE WHEN YOU BUNT ON HIM! Just ask Oakland A's shortstop Eric Sogard, who successfully sacrifice bunted in the first inning in the first inning that lead to an early run; but he taunted Garza again with an RBI bunt in the seventh inning of an 4-2 A's victory against the Texas Rangers. Though the tweets don't fit the crime, only Matt Garza can interpret his mini tantrum when attacking Sogard and his wife!
Sogard is a .273 hitter with two home runs. Garza better pray the next time these two meet, Sogard doesn't get a hit. He may want to take to twitter and tease Garza a little more. As for Garza, he later calmed down and offered an apology, sort of .
These two teams will continue to battle for the American League West for the remainder of the season, Oakland A's has a 3.5 game lead over the Texas Rangers. Matt may want to dial it down a little as he is near free agency.

Watch: Larry Allen humors the crowd with his Hall Of Fame speech

After watching longtime Dallas Cowboy, Larry Allen get inducted into the Football Hall of Fame Saturday Night my first thought was is he really going to talk? I've watched this massive human being anchor the offensive line since the time he stepped on the gridiron in 1994. Throughout his career I have never heard the man talk. This is the same individual who was walking to the Cowboys' players parking lot many years ago with teammate, Terry Glenn. I had to see what kind of vehicle he drives. I'm thinking it has to be some sort of SUV or a gigantic luxury vehicle. Well, it wasn't a surprise to see Mr. Glenn get into a black Lamborghini. Glenn, a former wideout has a small frame that suits a fast exotic car. As Terry got into his vehicle, Mr. Allen walked past Terry's car to get into his black Lamborghini! I'm thinking WTF? Get out of here! How is this big MAN going to get into this itty bitty car? Just like Terry did, got into his car and drove off.

So today was a big day for Mr. Allen, his family, the Cowboy organization and the Cowboy fans. This was the day many of us would get to hear Larry Allen speak! If you are a fan of Larry Allen, the first thing to come to mind would be a side bet. What is the over/under of how many words will come out of Larry's mouth or how long will Larry stay on the stage? Will Jerry Jones speak longer than Larry? All of those questions were legit!

Larry Allen did suprisingly well. He represented himself, his family and the Dallas Cowboys in a very positive way. He thank everybody he knew as all inductees do. Larry had some of the best quotes of the night especially from a soft-spoken man who was terribly nervous as he wore his sunglasses throughout the night and had a hefty laugh through his entire speech. Here are some of the highlights:
He first thanked his wife, and it was the best quote of the night. For all you single ladies out there here's how to catch a man!
Mr. Allen even thanked his dad about keeping his temper under control:
The funniest part of the night was when he spoke about bench pressing 700lbs. In light of what is going on in baseball, he let it be known that he was all natural and the day he became the strongest man in football, Larry told the football world:
He added, “You know, it’s funny — once I benched 700 pounds, they tested me twice a week for the rest of my career.”
Here is video of Larry Allen lifting 700lbs.
Larry Allen, thank you for your service and thank you for representing the Dallas Cowboys!

Tiger Woods shoots a 61 at Bridgestone

Yes it's true. Tiger Woods shoots a second round (-9) under, 61 at Firestone Country Club. He sure could have used this round a couple of weeks ago in Scotland. Tiger's 61 ties his personal best as he was nine under in his first 13 holes flirting with 59 with 5 holes to go. It's unbelievable to think he only needed eleven one-putts through his first 13 holes. His only downfall was he didn't birdie any of the remaining holes. Tiger will take a commanding seven shot lead going into the weekend. Though it means nothing until he wins another major, Woods has to feel ecstatic about his play in the first two days of the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational. When asked if he was bummed about not shooting a 59 he replied:
"Am I disappointed?'" Woods said when asked about not getting to 59. "Absolutely not. 61 is pretty good. I'm not bummed."

Woods has already won four times this year and maybe a victory this weekend in Akron, Ohio will give him some momentum going into next weeks PGA Championship. It worked for The Open Champion, Phil Mickelson, who won in Scotland before winning his fifth major. We have to remember, Tiger's biggest issue is the weekend so we will see what happens the next two days.

Watch: Hanley Ramirez turn two the wrong way

It was the best double play turned this year and it happened Thursday night in Chicago. Los Angeles Dodgers' shortstop, Hanley Ramirez made an incredible stop with his momentum going towards third base. Instead of spinning his body around to make the throw to second, he backhand's a long flip to Dodgers' second baseman Mark Ellis with his back to home plate. Ellis finishes off a strong throw to first to complete the double play. Take a look:
