Baltimore Orioles' Manny Machado. (AP Photo/Paul Sancya)[/caption] Baltimore Orioles third baseman Manny Machado's leg buckle from underneath him as he crossed first base running out an infield single in today's crucial series against Tampa Bay. The 21-year-old phenom was down several minutes before being carted off the field with an apparent left knee injury. Take a look:
By looking at Machado crossing first this almost reminds me of the incident that happen to the Louisville guard, Kevin Ware, whose leg snapped during the NCAA tournament. Ware had an open tib/fib fracture, hopefully Machado's injury isn't as significant as Ware; but as for right now fingers are crossed and prayers have been sent. Coming into today's action Manny Machado was batting .283 14HR 71RBI and 51 doubles.
Reazando por #mannymachado esperemos no sea tan grave la lesion. Praying it's not as bad as it looked. Hate to see a member of @mlb get hurt! — Jose Bautista (@JoeyBats19) September 23, 2013Follow me on twitter
