As you may know by now the St. Louis Cardinals advanced to the NLCS by defeating the Pittsburgh Pirates 6-1. But before we leave the NLDS there were two outstanding defensive plays that happened at the bottom half of the third inning and carried on at the top of the fourth inning. Pirates left fielder, Starling Marte, demonstrates a what if by making this spectacular play. Take a look:

Matt Carpenter was probably thinking a possible in-side-the-park-home run! Well, more like a heck of a grab by Marte! But it doesn't end there! The very next inning Cardinals shortstop, Pete Kozma, makes a highlight of his own by robbing a for sure Neil Walker base hit.

Helluva plays by both Marte and Kozma, and congrats to the St. Louis Cardinals on advancing to the NLCS.
