New York Yankees center fielder, Curtis Granderson, left tonight's game in the 5th inning after he was hit in the left hand by a pitch. He did take his base and remained in the game to run for himself; but you could tell he was grimacing quite noticeably. Ichiro Suzuki relieved him in the bottom of the inning replacing Granderson in right field. Curtis' x-rays came showed a fracture on the knuckle of the left pinky. The last thing he wants to hear is another trip to the disabled list.

Granderson was just activated from the DL list just ten days ago. He had fractured his right forearm back in March. This is not the season Curtis had imagined after coming off an impressive 43HR and 106RBI season a year ago, the Yankees decided to pick up his 15 million dollar option for this season. So far this year he has missed 38 games and has managed to hit only 1HR and 1RBI.
