Miguel Cabrera Goes Yard Three Times

We can all put to rest whether or not Miguel Cabrera's "Triple Crown" season last year was a fluke or not. Going into Sunday night's game against the Texas Rangers, Miggy was leading the majors in hitting with a .384BA 8HR, and 46RBI. Then all of a sudden the Texas Rangers and baseball fans all over the nation witnessed the best hitter in the modern era. Cabrera put on a show as he muscled out three pitches over the wall, at The Ball Park of Arlington that traveled well beyond 1300 feet. He had a 3-run shot in the third, and a solo shot in the fifth, both against Derek Holland. He added another home run in the eighth against Tanner Scheppers which gives him 11HR, one off the American League lead. Cabrera went 4-4, 3HRs, single, intentional walk, 5RBI, and scored 4 runs and it still wasn't enough as his Detroit Tigers fell to the Rangers 11-8.

Miguel Cabrera has hit three home runs once before. It happened on May 28, 2010 against the Oakland A's.

As of right now, Cabrera is on track to have a better season than his Triple Crown season. If his immaculate pace continues he end up with a .387BA 42HR 181RBI OBP.457 SLG.659 and OPS 1.116!
